Here’s a good example of sloppy journalism: An article in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf about an incident where 91(!) people got hit by lightning during a national championship rallycross in Norway. According to the article the incident happened in Oslo… Wrong, wrong, wrong… Actually the rallycross event was being organized in Flisa, more than 2 hours driving from Oslo, near the border with Sweden…
Most other newspapers got their facts right, like The Age, Fox Sports, the Montana Standard & of course the Norwegian national paper Aftenposten.
De Telegraaf should get their facts correct before they write articles. What if foreign newspapers made these mistakes with articles about the Netherlands? After a 2 hour drive there you have left the country!
