To quote Professor Hubert Farnsworth: Good news, everyone! :-)

Futurama
It has been confirmed. Next year the award-winning animated sci-fi sitcom will return. Futurama is being resurrected on Comedy Central, and we can expect at least 26 spanking-new episodes. Airing begins in 2010.

I just watched Futurama: Bender’s Game on DVD. A delightful mixture of many great movies, series and even a board game!
The idea was to spoof Dungeons and Dragons. That the execution of this idea happened to coincide with its creator, Ernest Gary Gygax, is just a… well… coincidence! ;-)
The movie producers have managed to come up with a perfect balance of a the traditional elements of Futurama, a healthy splash of D&D, a dash of Star Trek, a smidge of Star Wars, a pinch of Teletubbies(!), and a [enter your cooking/baking measuring unit here] of 2001: A Space Odyssey. And some other movies and series which I won’t bother to mention here and now…

This combination makes a very entertaining movie, imho the best Futurama movie so far! Looking forward to see whether Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder will be able to surpass this one…

Fathers Against Rude Television

Fathers Against Rude Television (acronym F.A.R.T.) was a “Bender protest group” created by Hermes Conrad and Hubert J. Farnsworth, because they were tired of the filth Bender’s character performed on All My Circuits, specifically with drinking, smoking, stealing and violence.
The group success skyrocketed when the actor himself quit the show and joined the group, as he saw his character as a means of exploitation of himself. The group has most likely disbanded since its purpose was fulfilled.
