Does this only happen to me…? I was at the dentist at Colosseumklinikken Majorstua today, to have a cavity filled. Now is going to the dentist high on my list of least-favorite activities, but it’s one of those things that need to be done…
The dentist was in the process of filling my cavity when a cell phone rang. Turned out it was his phone… He was in the middle of the procedure, holding some device against the newly-applied filling, presumably to harden it.
Instead of letting his voicemail take the call, he actually answers his cell phone with his other hand! First I gave it the benefit of the doubt, thinking it may be an urgent call. Nope… From what I picked up from his side of the call there are some problems with his DSL-line at home… :-/ And of course even the best dentist is not true multitasking-capable: the instrument he was using on my filling slipped from its location twice… Not that any harm was done, as far as I can tell, but still… Not very professional…
I am not going to name the dentist here, but I hope that when/if he reads this that he takes it into consideration for the future…
