Isn’t it ironic? In january 1998 I made this web page, making a bit fun of Ellen who had just gotten a snowboard from Santa Claus. Well, she did not turn professional and was not a participant with the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. But, and here comes the ironic part, instead of a Digre there was a Meuli who managed to win a golden medal in snowboarding: Daniela Meuli (perhaps a very, very distant relative of mine?).
