Berghaus Voltage jacket – first impressions

Berghaus Voltage jacket, with hood up and hood downI’ve been looking for a while now for a decent replacement of my aging rain jacket (I’m not sure what brand it is, but it has held up well over the years.). After seeing some suggestions in the T3, I eventually ended up at Fjellsport.no. Under rain jackets they have a wide selection, among which I saw the Berghaus Voltage. The description of this rain jacket looked pretty good, but since this is just ‘sales babble’, I Googled the product to see how much of it was actually true. Turns out… all of it! 😎
I even came across a video review by the good people of Cotswold Outdoor:

Qualities which especially matter to me are waterproofness (duh!), and breathability. Since I’ve had the jacket in my possession for only 24 hours, I can’t judge these myself yet, but first impressions are good!

Friday I’ll be off to London. If the weather will be as expected, it should give me a good chance to test out the jacket some more, both in sun and in rain.

For people within Norway I can definitely recommend shopping at Fjellsport.no. Placing an order via their site is quick and painless, and anything ordered (that is in stock) before 15:00 will be shipped on the same day.
For people outside Norway: They’re for sale at Amazon US & Amazon UK. Or directly at Berghaus, of course!

  1. Hmm, apparently there is no such thing as Berghaus Voltage trousers. Who can suggest the perfect match when it comes to trousers for this jacket?
